Dress your room.

Finally another post! You sense overcompensation with this overload of pictures? Correct. I wanted to show you bits and pieces of my room (and apparently a lot of them). Last year was the last time I could go full-on girly since the next rooms I'll be decorating will be in accordance with my mister. When we moved into our current house, about 7 years ago, I went all Bollywood. My walls were dark red, orange and pink. I kid you not. I had incense, Buddha figurines, and many more oriental decorations all over the place. After a couple of years, surprise surprise, I grew tired of my oriental temple and last year I decided the time had come for a total makeover. I went for pinks, whites and greys. Boy, was it hard to paint over my dark walls! But I like my room so much more now with these light colours (and new furniture). I hope you like it too ☺.

If you're still the only one making all the decisions, now is the time to dress your room!

Estall Magic

Last Thursday we were invited by dynamic duo Marnix & Ally to discover a new design concept: dress your lamp. Needless to say, we were immediately charmed by the idea. With our blog we want to convey the message that everyone's life is unique and that you have to 'dress' it in your own way. Interior design is a very convenient way of expressing yourself, so what's better than a lamp that you can dress according to your mood, interior decoration, season, time of day,...

For Wouter and Ainhoa it all began when they gazed in awe at hundreds of colorful paper lanterns, lighting up the dark sky in Vietnam. They wanted to bring this magic into people's homes and embarked on a two year design adventure. Eventually this led to the establishment of Estall and a first collection of lamps and coats.

Estall's first lamp is called DL 01. The lamp is available with a pendel for hanging or a base for standing. As a nice bonus, the lamp also fits most standard light fixtures, if you already have a spot for it at home ;-).

The first collection of coats is called Journey and consist of 11 colours. All coats are made of 100% wool felt, which gives a special touch to the lighting, different for every colour.

At the event we received a short presentation about the collection and straightaway it was clear that this brand strives for simplicity and elegance. The coats are really easy to switch, I examined it myself ;-)

superb location & tasty treats

Starting today you can explore the brand yourself on their website or facebook page. In my mind I'm already decorating my loft-to-be.. How do you want your lamp dressed?

Thanks again to Marnix & Ally for having us!

Adios!

Shabby Chic meets Nature

Besides the endless stacks of fashion magazines in my room and elsewhere – and you can take this literally – I’m also a sucker for Interior Design. Not only are those magazines a huge inspiration for my future humble home but also pinterest is a major walhalla of ideas.
Sometimes I can’t wait to start decorating my own place by the sight of these pictures…

My taste of home interior is more or less shabby chic meets nature. In my words, that means: lots of white with colorful accessories, complemented with many wooden elements. You can call me crazy but most of all I would like to DIY 50% of my interior. You can’t imagine how easy it is to DIY in a cheap way and at the same time it has a level of chicness. But that’s my opinion ;-)!

And for the blogger-lovers that didn’t know it yet: we have Pinterest and one of the mood boards is my inspiration for interior that you can find here ;-)!

Enough chitchat for now and behold my inspiration for interior and exterior :-)…

I was wondering: what's your style or dream house to be? Uhuu, I'm very curious :-).

Take a peek into our wish lists!

December is all about the ho-ho-ho's, jingle bells and a song that comes to mind for many ladies: "All I want for Christmas...". We present to you our Christmas wishlists. While brainstorming for our beloved ones, it's not really shopping-time for ourselves so why not make it easy for you to choose something ;-). Start your shopping spree...

WINTER, I always seem to have a LOVE/HATE  relationship with it.
The cold and the overload of 'fleece' blankets, the snow, the Christmas ambience with the lovely (real!) trees, Christmas dinners where you just eat and eat and mmmhh … I have been looking forward to this all year!
At the same time, winter always coincides with the worst possible period of the year, staying in and studying. Greasy hair times ahead!

Luckily I always seem to find something relaxing to do during my study breaks. For instance, Online shopping! Here are some of the items on my Christmas wishlist.

Converse, scarf, earmuffs, flared jeans, sweater, LV bag, Ray-Ban-Wishlist; Quilt, casio - Urban outfitters; Hedgehog house, Kettle, Pouf- Dille & Kamille; Dress People Tree- Lily Mechelen

Naomi

Canon EOS M; Essentiel sweater; Ugg boots; Glamour Shot Eyes; Bow Ring; YSL glossy stain; Shopper; Braid necklace; Tote bag; Leopard tights.

No seriously, anybody seen my Louboutins? When I saw this funny bag on Curls and Bags, it immediately made its way to my wishlist. I would also like to get me some warm footwear and a cozy sweater. The weather isn't treating me well. Erasing dark circles in one minute, bring the Sampar to me! Anyone tried out this miracle worker?

As a pretty touch to these festive times, presents are also a nice extra to receive ;-)! Browsing the internet and walking in the streets of Antwerp made me notice lovely things, so here you go :-).

... And what do you want for Christmas?

Cheers!
