That's right. If I have to believe in something, it ought to be Fashion! We weren't planning to take pictures in a church but the Weather Gods suddenly agreed to start spreading rain and the first hideout was a church. The Fashion Gods would never start playing with rain...

Anywhoo.. I'm happy anyways that the weather was better this past week, it was an actual enjoyment to come outside. Those upcoming colder days won't spoil my mood, no way!

My wardrobe consists of lots of dresses and this is one of them. A dark blue lace skater dress which fits perfectly; and I absolutely like the sleeves. Better weather goes with good old sneakers in my dictionary, for sure easy to wear when going to class or just being in the mood of a girly outfit with a splash of sportiness. The necklace was instant love when I saw Siel from The Ghent Chronicles wearing it at Belmodo. She was working in front of me, so it was impossible not to pay any attention to that lovely necklace ;-). When we both went on a shopping spree in Antwerp she convinced me to buy it. Happy she did!

Rihanna for River Island | VIP shopping night

Last week I received an invitation from Belmodo to attend the launch of the Rihanna for River Island collection on Monday. Big thank you once again! While an extravagant Rihanna bus was taking us to our destination, Oona spoiled us with gallons of Tao and a delicious Exki lunch box. Best sandwiches of my life (Pauly D style)!

We arrived in Amsterdam - fashionably late -  and were welcomed by fresh cocktails and fun beats. Too bad they didn't have an after-party in the store, I was so in for it! Luckily we had our after-party karaoke in the bus on our way back home ;-).
 
On to some snapshots of the collection: my favourites were the striped top and leather cap.

What do you think of the collection? For me personally, the items were a tad overpriced and since nothing blew me away, I went home empty-handed. Although, I loved the clothes on other girls!

Pink & green thoughts

It's almost sunny time, although I hope! Not really because of the endless choices of shorts and bikinis but rather the very colorful palets different brands are offering us this year. It's all about pastels and metallics but even the bright colors are still hot and happening. 

I've got periods when I'm in a shopaholic mood but for now it's the complete opposite. That doesn't mean I'm not browsing the internet or that I'm not interested in what the latest offers are in the fashion world. On the contrary! You've maybe noticed from my home inspiration post that I got the pinterest-bug. Most of the time I keep browsing pictures without repinning them, but I'm working on it! Have a look on my Fashion, Inspirational and Beauty board ;-).

Although I'm attracted to everything that's black in clothing, bright colors such as pink and green are also fantastic. In my opinion, those colors give an additional vavavoom-effect to the wardrobe!

Emerald is also a color that's very popular right now in the shops and I'm very happy about it! Pinks and greens quite dominate my shoe- and accessories collection rather than my wardrobe. Just love bright accessories!

Flower child.

Born in spring and a nature-loving biologist, I'm a flower child pur sang. Nothing better than a colourful outfit with flower details to lighten your mood and trick your mind into believing that spring is already upon us. Sweet bliss! For the moment I'm still very much in a lilac state of mind, I actually used my nailcolour as a foundation for the rest of my outfit. It worked out really well, if I may say so myself (yes I may). 

The first appearance of my favourite coat, it's been glued to my body for a couple of months now. I really like its loose shape, retro details and texture. Not only I but also Elke loved it from the start! Don't think we only have twin coats - oh no - also dresses, bags, shoes,... You name it ;-)

Veritas brightens up our wardrobe for spring

Veritas has some lovely accessories for Spring 2013, be sure to check it out! 

During my internship at Belmodo last semester, I got the opportunity to go along with Belmodo addict Koen to the Veritas fotoshoots for the Spring collection and oh my what an amazing experience it was! I saw from A to Z how everything works on set: makeup, styling, photographing and filming. 1 of the settings was very cool, it was in Gent and it’s very popular: the WASBAR of course ;-). The interior went perfectly with the colors that Veritas is bringing for this spring, so matchy matchy all the way. Make sure to take a pitstop at this cozy place, you can do your laundry while enjoying a yummy lunch and tasty drinks.

What is Veritas bringing to you this Spring? Well, think of metallic colors and lots of bright and girly pastels. You name it, they’ve got it: belts, ankle socks, hair accessories, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, scarfs and so much more. Can’t wait to see them in real life? From the 1^st of March they’ll be available in all of the Veritas shops.
