I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes, lilac's all around me and so the feeling grows.

Lately my eyes have really been drawn to lilac-lavender shades. Apparently I'm not the only one, Sabrina also caught the lilac virus. It's just so prettah! I own a t-shirt in this colour but sadly the end of it's lifespan is already near (H&M quality ;-)). So yet another excuse to go shopping! No need to say that I already wish it was spring. More posts with inspiring colours are in the making, so stay tuned people.

As I tend to always root for the underdog, I’m falling in love with winter again.. Imagine a winter morning, waking up from a blissful sleep, in a sea of warm blankets, opening the curtains to see this beautiful white carpet covering the streets. Then imagine preparing yourself for a good winter walk through the snow, all wrapped up in your warmest clothes, hooked in the arms of your friend or lover, laughing at each other’s ‘almost fall’ and daring each other to do the craziest slide moves over the ice. Next you’re entering this cozy little café, where a steaming hot chocolate or lemon tea is awaiting you right next to the fireplace.. Mmm.. And besides all of  that, you can always consider to get lost in a lovely deep winter sleep..
So yes, winter is coming (right, Game of Throne fans?) and I’d like to give this beautiful season of quiet quivering and silver shivering, a nice and (warm?) welcome.

With the soft falling of snow, everything becomes quiet and peaceful. Walking through the deserted streets of a city that usually never sleeps (ex-student speaking here ;)) seems to give me time and space to clear my head and just come to a halt for a while.

Like the city, all covered in white, I too like to blend in with the season of snow. I love the softness of white clothes to the background of a white snow carpet. People tend to wear heavy dark-colored clothes, reflecting their melancholic winter moods. But sometimes it can feel surprisingly refreshing when you combine white or subtle pastel colors (my favorites!)  with some winter accessories.
So that’s what I did :)

The whiteness of the clothes, on the whiteness of my skin, to a background of complete snowy whiteness.. it gave me a fairly fairy feeling..

The usual pose... Don't ask. I don't know why...

Aaaahhh... I LOOOOVE snow! Call me crazy but yes, I even love the cold cold weather! And where there is snow, there is some playtime. I shot these pictures yesterday and my little cousin wanted to come over to play in the garden with my bundle of white gorgeous fluffiness aka the dog so I didn't mind at all. Throwing snowballs at each other and teasing the dog a little.

Outfit of the day: lots of pinks with some latest additions to my closet. Last week was my birthday and I got a lot of lovely things, a surprise galore I didn't expect at all :-). Like the Essentiel Dinnamon coat I'm wearing. I just absolutely adore the neon pink lining. It gives an elegant touch to the whole outfit and it goes perfectly with the scarf. Coincidence? Another prezzie was the shoulder bag that I got from Naomiii.

Online shopping is a tricky thing sometimes but - for me - there's only 1 website that I can't complain about - when I'm talking about dresses - and that's ASOS. This dress was one of my purchases last spring (I think?) and it's a pretty warm one.

No snow today.

Obviously these pictures were made before the snowstorm hit our little country. But I'm sure you can imagine the snowy background yourselves ;-). 

I'm wearing some of the latest additions to my wardrobe. This autumn I found it really hard to come across a soft sweater I fancied. What's up with all those itchy bastards?! Is it too much to ask for clothing that feels kind of nice on your skin? I even don't mind paying a few extra bucks for it. Then finally, after countless electrified hairdos, two weeks ago I could call this pretty number mine. No irritation, prickling, tickling, itchiness, tingling, no anything!

My mum says my new shoes look like they belong to Heidi in Tirol. I say Heidi better be watching her back because I'm going to rock these shoes! It's only the beginning.. You like my beanie? I scored it last year from a ravishing young entrepreneuse, Karolien. Another hobby that's gotten out of hand, sounds familiar ;-)?

Some crazy pictures and a witness swan to end this post. I just feel better goofing around in front of the camera. I feel more comfortable, you get to see my clothes in action and maybe have a laugh. Good deal? I would say yes!
