Stylist for a day with Filippa K

Last week I went to the biggest bloggers event organized by UPR Belgium, THE BIG YOU 3. Read all about it here. Among one of the brands presented was Filippa K. Instant LOVE!

They make simple basics yet give them that extra refinement with AMAZING detail and absolute to die for fabrics! One of the challenges they had for us was to make a complete outfit from their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The best styled outfit wins a gift voucher AND gets the chance to display the entire outfit in one of their flagship stores! The outfit itself is all about effortless elegance. The color of the skirt brightens the black of the shoes and blazer while the soft pink socks finish the entire look. Or at least that’s my opinion ;). Hope you like it!

THE BIG YOU 3

Last Wednesday we were invited by UPR to attend ‘The Big You’! After reading loads about this BIG event we were extremely excited and curious. Immediately impressed by the beautiful building, we walked into a room where there was this thing you can only describe as loads and loads of pampering! :) It was all about eating cupcakes, having appetizers, drinking smoothies and delicious sodastream lemonade, trying out different beauty products and tasting illy coffee as a real pro, or at least pretending to be one. ;)

Melanie joined me because my other partners in crime were living it up in France. Yes indeed Naomi and Sabrina, this is the big green envy monster talking! Needless to say TBY3 was fantastic and I completely forgot all about my missed vacation. A big thank you UPR!

ThrowBackThursday #1

Take a peek in my history ;-). Why not get a little corny I thought: the past 7 or 8 years I've seen many people come and go but there's a good handful of peeps that amazed me in every other way and have gone through thick and thin with them. Gazillion of memorable moments captured by a lens and only we know the funny quotes and jokes. You'll notice a lot of pictures with Naomi & Dorien and that's because we go waaaay back: classmates and dancing buddies. The other lovely ones are Eva, Debra, Elke, Margaux, Leon and Tim :-). The last 4 I got to know in our uni-period and I'm glad we did ;-). With no further ado I present you lots of craziness.  

This one here above, our Eva is my oldest friend ever. 18 Years of craziness with this other half.

The weather has gone completely crazy lately! Yes I’m actually pulling the ‘Let’s talk about the weather card!’ It’s too hot to wear my beloved Warmbats but too cold to go bared legged and skip the coat. And let’s not forget the horrible rain, snow, hail and what not that has been falling down upon us these last couple of days!

But I have to admit, these last 2 months nothing exciting happened in the clothing department, besides the warm fluffy greasy hair look of course ;) Exams are such a bitch! I now can finally say ‘Looks like it’s fuck this shit o’clock’ because study times are OVER! As of last Friday I’m officially a free woman again! Besides from that little hag in my head screaming, finish your thesis, finish your thesis, over and over again. But for now I can shut her up with this little miracle potion called alcohol! ;) 

The skirt I’m wearing I bought from this cute online vintage boutique named ‘Me and Maria’. It was on sale AND it’s green so of course I immediately wanted it! It has been hanging in my closet for quite a while now, don’t really know why because I absolutely love it! It swirls so what’s not to love! This outfit plus the umbrella (damn you rainy Belgium!) reminded me of Mary Poppins, the midi-skirt, long black coat, big scarf and red lips a Modern day Mary Poppins all the way! 

So I must fly off now! See you next time!
